Consumer Organizations

The following is a list of consumer organizations which provide services directly to blind consumers.  We hope this list will be of benefit to you.

National Federation Of The Blind:

One of the oldest and most influential advocacy organizations for the blind in the United States.

American Council Of The Blind:

An advocacy organization active in promoting the rights of people who are blind in the US.

American Foundation for the Blind:

The American Foundation for the Blind—the organization to which Helen Keller devoted her life—is a national nonprofit whose mission is to ensure that the ten million Americans who are blind or visually impaired enjoy the same rights and opportunities as other citizens.
Royal National Institute For The Blind (RNIB):

A provider of services for the blind in the UK.

Canadian National Institute For The Blind (CNIB):

A provider of services for the blind in Canada.
